Brandon Sanderson is quickly becoming one of my favourite authors.
Not only is he a great writer- he delivers his books on time and we get something new every year. GRRM might be the better author but have to agree with cannoli on RAFO that he is a slacker.
If we are lucky we might see ADWD next year - 6 years after AFFC and 11 after ASOS.
Do not expect tWoW before 2015 and the series to end before 2025(if we are lucky).
All in all admire the job that BS has done on WoT and loved Way of Kings. He is right up there with Jim Butcher :-)
If you haven't read the Dresden files. Give it a chance.Changes ( Book 12) was absolutely awesome.

Looking to the future
Have frequently been asked why am I a big mac fan. what is it about their products which inspire so much loyalty.
Have even been asked derisively if SJ is paying me do his PR.
Guess there is no easy answer to this.
Let me answer with a question. Why does the space program or the LHC generate so much hope? Why would we be happy at an expense of several billions when the practical benefits are likely to be slim.
I guess it shows that we can work together and we can move forward as a civilization.
We can rise above petty conflicts and parochialism to achieve something big.We are looking not at the past but at the future.
Apple is one company which designs its products with this philosophy firmly in mind. The mac changed PCs, the first iPhone changed the phone. Does anyone even remember what phones were like pre - iphone. Did the LGs and Samsungs of this world even release device software updates? Did anyone even bother doing it?
Their products might not be perfect. They might not be the cheapest out there. But their products are the future.
More on this theme later as soon as I get my thoughts in order.

First Post
Avid reader of John Gruber , Pat at fantasyhotlist and the werthead. Even though my opinions are worth jack squat, realized that I would however like to take a shot at writing stuff.
Primarily will try to keep this blog aimed at Tech and fantasy.
Hopefully something other than garbage comes out :-)
