Have frequently been asked why am I a big mac fan. what is it about their products which inspire so much loyalty.
Have even been asked derisively if SJ is paying me do his PR.
Guess there is no easy answer to this.
Let me answer with a question. Why does the space program or the LHC generate so much hope? Why would we be happy at an expense of several billions when the practical benefits are likely to be slim.
I guess it shows that we can work together and we can move forward as a civilization.
We can rise above petty conflicts and parochialism to achieve something big.We are looking not at the past but at the future.
Apple is one company which designs its products with this philosophy firmly in mind. The mac changed PCs, the first iPhone changed the phone. Does anyone even remember what phones were like pre - iphone. Did the LGs and Samsungs of this world even release device software updates? Did anyone even bother doing it?
Their products might not be perfect. They might not be the cheapest out there. But their products are the future.
